Booked this day trip thru Maja at Amico tours in the Old City of Dubrovnik.
We collected promptly at our pick up location by our guide Gabriel.
He explained our path to Mostar and what we could expect along the way with stop off in Ston, and Kravice Falls.
We were a small group of 6 and the Mercedes car was clean and comfortable.
We stopped very early in Ston for early morning coffee seated along with early morning locals.
The Walls of Ston are amazing other than that there was very little to see in Ston this early and out of season.
Kravice Falls were beautiful and because of our early start and being out of season we had the falls all to ourselves. (I'm sure in the height of Summer it's a different location altogether)
We got some good photographs and it was very peaceful.
Our next stop was Mostar.
Mostar is famous for its bridge and other than the bridge there is nothing much more to do or see in Mostar other than a central Mosque which we didn't enter as we heard the call for prayers so we didn't want to enter during this time as we were unsure of the protocols.
We ate at a rooftop terrace overlooking the Mostar bridge it was called the Urban Grill. It's a beautiful location if you can get a good seat.
We were very lucky to get a perfect seat.
Other than that there was nothing to see in Mostar. It's very much a tourist trap.
Full of narrow cobbled streets we stalls of trinket sellers selling Chinese made products for the most part.
I commented to my fellow travellers that 3hrs in Mostar was far too long a stay. Maybe 90mins or 2hrs would've been enough.
The bridge is the only attraction and photo opportunity.
We returned stopping off for a bridge view and we also stopped in Ston and a family operated Oyster farm and shop which we really enjoyed trying the Local Oysters (we had 6 in total €2 to €3 each) we had a local bottle of white wine and some other refreshments totalling €40 but we'll worth it in my opinion.
Gabriel took us on the scenic route through a marina outside of Dubrovnik.
All in all in was a worthwhile visit.
We paid about €100 each for the day trip but had seen it advertised for much less than that on Viator after we'd already booked and paid (€59) but we felt what we'd paid was acceptable.
The communication from Maja was great she kept us up to date and is very friendly.
Gabriel is very knowledgeable and attentive and we enjoyed his company.
Our trip was out of season in late March 2025 and I'm sure in the height of Summer is a far different experience because I'm sure the queues for Kravice Falls and into Mostar are extremely long during peak season.
We would highly recommend Amico travel as a reliable family run local business who give 100% attention to your needs.
